At Audubon Dental & Implant Center, our General Dentists limit their practice to tooth removal and replacement. Why? Because we love it!

Dental Implants
With Dental Implants, biting forces increase dramatically, for better chewing ability and digestion. Implants also prevent the bone loss that occurs after a tooth is removed. Dental implants have been widely used for over 30 years, and have an excellent success rate.
    Supporting Dentures
When a patient has lost all of his or her teeth but wants a better fit and more retention than traditional dentures allow, implant supported dentures can give them that stability. A limited number of implants are placed into the jawbone, and the denture fits snugly over the implants and a connector called an abutment.

    Supporting Crowns/Bridges
Single tooth implants are used when one or more of patients teeth are missing. They offer the stability of a natural tooth root, and this is an excellent option for patients who do not wish to have a removable appliance. Standard implants can support crowns (to replace a single tooth) or bridges (missing adjacent teeth).

Dentures
    Portrait Dentures
The most natural looking denture we offer is our Portrait Denture, made with Portrait IPN teeth. These teeth have a 10-year warranty against cracking, staining, or breaking, and have numerous tooth shades and styles to choose from to match your natural teeth perfectly.

    Other Styles of Dentures
Complete dentures are used to replace teeth when all of the patient's natural teeth are missing from one or both arches. Complete dentures have an acrylic base, which rests against the gum tissue.

Complete dentures are held in place by the adaptation of the base to the gum tissue. Many people require the use of adhesives to give additional retention. More and more patients are using dental implants to support their dentures, for a snugger, more natural fitting removable prosthesis.

Partial Dentures
Partial dentures are used to replace missing teeth when natural teeth are present. The remaining natural teeth provide additional support and retention for the partial denture.

Audubon offers a variety of partial styles, including metal-based and more flexible styles, all designed with your input along with the doctor's. Our flexible Valplast partials are made to discretely complete your smile with a revolutionary material that is closer to the natural appearance of your gums.

Tooth Removal
At your initial visit, the doctor will perform an oral exam, in order to create an individualized treatment plan for you. If your treatment includes dental implants or tooth removal, an x-ray will be necessary to see beneath the surface of your gums to better plan for your treatment. Some tooth removal may be surgical, and there may be bone shaping or other procedures needed, which can be diagnosed from your full mouth x-ray. For patients who are apprehensive about dental procedures, your doctor will also recommend what type of sedation may be right for you.

Sedation Dentistry
To ensure your visit is a pleasant and relaxing one, Audubon Dental & Implant Center offers different levels of sedation dentistry in our office! We know each patient has different levels of comfort during dental procedures, and it is our goal to offer state of the art care in a clean, safe, comfortable environment.
    Oral Sedation
Before your appointment, after reviewing your medical history, your doctor will prescribe a sedative to help relax you. This prescription is to make you feel drowsy or calm, and you will need a friend or family member to accompany you to your appointment.

    IV Sedation
At the time of your procedure, medication will be administered intravenously, often causing the patient to sleep through the appointment. Some (but not all) patients prefer this more complete method of sedation. Your doctor will recommend what is best for you at your initial or pre-operative visit.

Same Day Service
Audubon Dental & Implant Center is unique from most other dental offices in that the dental lab we use for our dentures is part of our building. This feature of our office keeps most work from being sent to another dental lab, saving you time and increasing communication between your dentist and the lab. For our patients with a limited schedule, our lab has the capability to make certain styles of dentures, do some repairs, and process permanent relines in a single day. It is not always recommended that services be rendered in a single day, as our first concern for our patients is quality. This on-site lab makes it possible for the doctors and patients to work closely with the lab technicians in order to accommodate our patients' wishes whenever possible.
    Repairs
Like it or not, some dentures need a repair from time to time. The main causes for breakage are accidents, an incorrect occlusion, and the age of the denture. Rarely, it may be that the denture was compromised during processing, which leads to weakening of the acrylic. The best way to prevent breakage is proper handling and regular dental care, even for edentulous patients. Audubon Dental & Implant Center's in-house dental lab can often repair dentures, but our doctors will always recommend the optimal treatment for our patients, which in some cases may be a new denture instead of a repair, or "quick fix".

    Relines
It is normal for your mouth and dental ridges change from year to year, most noticeably in the months following tooth removal. Most dentures are made to last 7-10 years, but can begin to fit poorly as your gums shrink, and your ridges deteriorate (a process than can be slowed or stopped by the placement of dental implants). Your dentures may begin to feel loose after time, and one way to remedy this is to make a new impression and add acrylic reline material to your existing denture. This will cause the denture to fit to your mouth's current shape, as opposed to the shape it had when your dentures were first made. Many relines can be completed in a single day, and while they are not a replacement for a new denture, a reline can improve the fit of your existing denture.

Payment Plans
We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. In addition, for qualified patients, we accept Care Credit ®. This method of financing offers monthly payments without interest up to 12 months or extended low interest payment plans, up to 60 months. You may apply for this payment plan online at carecredit.com, call them in the privacy of your home at (800) 365-8295, or apply in our office. However you apply, it just takes a few minutes to see if you have been approved. You can apply with a co-signer, if both parties are present with valid ID. This is a great option for many of our patients.
